Now you must be thinking that sev is eaten in the form of salty, then let us tell you that you can make and eat very tasty vegetable from it. Whether it is a child or an adult in your home, people of all ages will surely drool after eating this delicious vegetable. Let’s know the recipe of instant sev tomato curry.

Tomato Curry Recipe: Ingredients

  • Sev – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 2
  • Tomato puree – 1/2 bowl
  • Curd – 2 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Rai – 1/2 tsp
  • Whole cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Kasuri fenugreek – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • salt – as per taste

Method

  • To make sev-tomato curry, first wash and wipe the tomatoes.
  • After this cut the tomatoes into fine pieces.
  • Now take a bowl and mix turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder in it.
  • After this, prepare a paste by adding 2 teaspoons of water to all the spices.
  • Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
  • When the oil becomes hot, add cumin and mustard seeds and splutter.
  • Now add a pinch of asafoetida and add the prepared spice paste and fry while stirring with a spoon.
  • After this, add finely chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook.
  • Now add salt to it and cook covered, so that the tomatoes get cooked quickly.
  • When the tomatoes melt well, make puree with the help of a mixer.
  • Now add curd to the gravy and let it cook for one to two minutes.
  • When the gravy starts leaving oil, add crushed fenugreek leaves to it.
  • After this add garam masala and half a cup of water to the gravy.
  • Now cook the gravy till it leaves oil again.
  • Now add sev to it and mix.
  • When the sev becomes a little soft, turn off the gas.
  • Now your teddy sev tomato curry is ready. Garnish it by adding coriander leaves.
  • Now serve it with roti or paratha, eaters will not be able to live without asking for the recipe.
