New Delhi: Japan’s car manufacturer Suzuki has introduced the midsize SUV Grand Vitara made in India at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2023. The Indonesia-spec Grand Vitara is very similar to the India-spec model. But the strong hybrid system is not given in this car.

How is India spec model

The India spec model of the Maruti Grand Vitara gets a 1.5L, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which gets a battery pack with self-charging technology. This powertrain combined generates 115 bhp power and 121 Nm torque. E-CVT transmission is available with this engine. The car gets an ARAI certified mileage of 27.97 kmpl.

How is the Indonesian-spec model

The Indonesia-spec Grand Vitara has been launched in two variants namely GX and GL. This car has 6 airbags, rear parking camera, parking sensors, 360 degree camera, ESP, LED projector headlamps, cruise control, head up display, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill hold control, panoramic sunroof, guide me lights, a Wireless smartphone charging and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system are also available.

CNG variant is available in India

In India, Maruti Suzuki also offers the Grand Vitara in a CNG variant, priced between Rs 12.85 lakh to Rs 14.84 lakh. The car gets a 1.5-litre, dual jet, dual VVT engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. In CNG mode, this engine generates 87.83 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and 121.5Nm of peak torque at 4,200rpm. It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Collision with Toyota Hyrider

This car competes with Toyota’s Urban Cruiser Hyrider in the Indian market. This car has also been built on the same platform as the Grand Vitara. All the features of this car are similar to the Grand Vitara.
