Luxury Or Lunacy? Brand Unveils ₹50,000 Jeans With 'Pee Stain'

Luxury fashion companies are famous for their innovative ideas, but they also come with exorbitant prices. Many viral online items exemplify this, such as the Dolce & Gabbana “Khaki Ski Mask Cap” priced at ₹ 32,000 or Hugo Boss flip-flops selling for ₹ 9,000. Now, a British-Italian brand is marketing jeans featuring what seems to be a pee stain, all at a staggering price.

Designers Luca Marchetto and Jordan Bowen, founders of the brand Jordanluca, have created a distinctive pair of jeans named “Stain Stonewash Jeans.” These jeans made their debut on the runway during the fall/winter 2023 collection. They feature a dark stain in the groin area, giving the illusion of someone having urinated in them. The original jeans are priced at approximately ₹ $811 (around R 67,6000), while the lighter wash variant, currently sold out, commands a staggering price of $608 (approximately Rs 50,000).

The brand described the jeans as having a stonewash stain on the crotch and embroidered Demonology horn detail on each back pocket, making them the ultimate JORDANLUCA denim piece. They are high rise with a tapered leg, ensuring a perfect fit.

Online criticism has led to the renaming of the unusual jeans to “pee stain denim.” Many individuals on social media are expressing their disbelief about the product.

One user commented, “In 2024, why should anyone be shocked that ‘pee stain denim’ exists?”

Another person remarked, “Those jeans are pricey. Can’t people just create their own by wetting their pants?”

“Why would someone choose to wear this?” questioned a user.

A third individual chimed in, stating, “You’re not considered cool unless you’ve wet your pants.”
