New Delhi: Meta has recently given WhatsApp users the option to open their account in 4 different devices apart from the primary device. Users no longer have to depend on the main device to open WhatsApp on other devices and can run their WhatsApp account on other devices even without internet. At present, users can connect their WhatsApp account only to laptop, desktop or other Android phones. The option to connect the account to the iPad is not there on the app. But now users will get this option soon.

Here is the update

According to Wabetainfo, a website that monitors the development of WhatsApp, the company is soon going to provide the facility to link WhatsApp account to iPad. That is, the app will consider iPad as a device and users will be able to connect their account with it. At present, this update has been seen in version 2.23.12.12 of WhatsApp beta. In the coming time, the company can rollout it for everyone.

This update will be available soon on iOS

WhatsApp has provided some iOS beta testers with a new icon for calls within groups. After clicking on this icon, the user gets the facility to choose the option of video or voice call. Earlier both these icons were visible in different group chats, which has now been fixed by the company in one option.

Username feature will be rolled out soon

WhatsApp is also working on the username feature, which people will get in the coming time. After this feature goes live, every person will have to choose a username, as is the case in Twitter and Instagram. After the introduction of the username feature, users can add anyone to WhatsApp with the help of this. That is, they will not have to share their number again and again or ask for the number of the person in front of them.
