New Delhi: The ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 has given exceptional chances to many of the cricketers and one of them is young bowler Arshdeep Singh. India cricketer Arshdeep Singh has been brilliant through out the tournament and has contributed significantly. However, he had to go through a rough patch during Asia Cup 2022 when he was trolled on social media.
During the game against Pakistan, Arshdeep dropped a catch of Asif Ali and then he was called names and trolled for more than one reason. Singh gave no response to that and went on to get selected in the World Cup squad.
Wasim Akram praises Arshdeep Singh
Praising the momentum of Arshdeep Singh, former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Abram showered praises on him.
He said, “He’s got nine wickets in the tournament, the most by anyone in Super 12 stage. Uska talent maine aur Waqar (Younis) ne toh Asia Cup me hi dekh liya tha. Jis tareeke se wo ball ko swing karta hai, naya ball dono taraf. I heard he did really well in IPL. He’s got a bright future, sensible bowler hai, yorker achha karta hai aur slow ball bhi achhi hai. Do wickets jo usne liye hai (against Bangladesh), usne match ka paasa palat diya.”

Akram also commented on fans trolling him for dropping catch. He added, “India me isko social media pe udaaya gaya (He was trolled on social media in India), but he himself said I’m not bothered. Ye attitude bada zaroori hai (This attitude is important).”
