H3N2 cases: The corona pandemic is not fully over yet, and now the H3N2 Influenza virus has started worrying people. Its active cases are being on surge in many states. The Pudducherry government decided to close all the schools in the union territory in wake of H3N2 influenza. 

According to the Puducherry government, all the schools will remain closed from 16 to 26 March.

Earlier this week, director of Puducherry Medical Service G Sriramulu, in a press release, said that 79 cases of the H3N2 influenza subtype have been reported till March 4 but no casualties reported due to it till now.

Two people, one in Haryana and one in Karnataka reportedly died due to H3N3 last week after the central government asked all state governments to track the virus and make all proper arrangements to stop its spread.
