Radhe Shyam actor Krishnam Raju dies, Anushka Shetty leads tribute

New Delhi: Veteran actor and politician Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, also known as Krishnam Raju, died on Sunday morning. He was 83. Krishnam Raju, also known as Rebel Star, had a successful career in both politics and the film industry. The actor has been battling several health conditions and breathed his last in Hyderabad.

Tollywood pays tribute to Krishnam Raju

Anushka Shetty posted a throwback photo with Krishnam Raju and wrote, “Rest in peace our very own Krishnam raju garu a legend a soul with the biggest heart ..U will live on in our hearts (sic).”

“A Legend Has left us A man with a Heart of Gold.. Rest in Peace sir will miss your Presence and Motivational words always @UVKrishnamRaju #KrishnamRaju (sic),” tweeted Nikhil Siddhartha.

Manoj Manchu posted, “This can’t be true. Such a great human being we will miss you dearly sir. Ur contribution to the film industry and the society Wil live on forever and ever. Om Shanti #KrishnamRaju garu. We will love you forever (sic).”

About Krishnam Raju 

Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju was born in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district in 1940. He spent some time working as a journalist after finishing his education. Later, in 1966, he made his lead acting debut in the movie “Chilaka Gorinka.” He is also well known for his negative roles.

During the administration of the late and former Prime Minister Vajpayee, he also entered politics and held the position of Union Minister.

The actor’s eternal remains will reportedly be delivered to his home after noon on Monday, and the funeral will reportedly take place that afternoon, according to one of his family members.
