New Delhi: Call him the King of Bollywood or the Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan is and will always remain the King of Romance for his fans. From “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai… aur pyaar bhi ek baar hota hai” to the ‘palat… palat’ sequence in the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, SRK taught us what is a true romance.

He might have very well got over the age of romance now, but his romantic films are evergreen and will remain in the minds and hearts of the masses.

Well, the actor is celebrating his 57th birthday on November 2, that is today.

Shah Rukh Khan as the ‘King of Romance’

Undoubtedly, Shah Rukh Khan has gifted us with some of the best and evergreen films. He is a versatile actor. He began his career in negative roles in films Baazigar, Darr, Anjaam etc.

However, we know SRK definitely for his romantic genre. Name an actress, with whom SRK has not romanced on-screen. Be it Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai or Deepika, he has had big hits in romantic roles with these leading ladies.

His amazing screen presence with his leading ladies, the captivating romance will never shade away from our hearts.

Meanwhile, in real life too, Shah Rukh is an inspiration for many in terms of relationships. He is a great husband to Gauri Khan and a responsible father.

SRK and Gauri’s love story is no less than a fairy tale. It all began at a party where the actor urged Gauri to dance with him. It is said that Gauri rejected his request which broke his heart. Gauri told him that she is waiting for her boyfriend.

Later the King Khan was on cloud nine knowing it was not her boyfriend but her brother. They started dating after the party and soon Gauri fell for his wit, humour and charm.

However, the couple faced a lot of difficulties in their relationship- both personal and parental. But it is said that true love does win all challenges. Finally the duo got married on October 25, 1991.
