New Delhi: Popular Marathi movie couple Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar turns a day old today, as the power couple celebrates their birthday together. The love birds have their birthdays on the same date. While Sachin turned 63, his beloved wifey, Supriya turned 53 years.

Sachin and Supriya’s romantic love story
Sachin and Supriya, two of the most prolific actors of the Marathi film induatry has an interesting story line regarding to how their relationship started. While Sachin was already a name in the industry, it was during Supriya’s struggling days. Sachin casted her for his second directorial venture Navri Mile Navryala, as the leading leady.
At that time Supriya Sabnis was 10 years junior to him. She was quick to learn the craft and went on to win the hearts of millions with her debut film as Chameli. Interestingly, the duo fell in love with each other on the sets of Navri Mile Navryala, but was hesitant to confess their feeling to each other.
Finally, after the film’s shoot was completed, Sachin proposed Supriya. Wgat the actress said after, was surprising to him. Supriya said that she thought Sachin was married. In an interview, Sachin revealed that, he thought she was being funny at first but it turned out that she was quite serious about it, so he had to assure her that he was very much single.
And without any delay, the love birds tied the knot on December 21, 1985.
Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya shared the screen space in several films. Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi (1988), Mazha Pati Karodpati (1988), Aaytya Gharat Gharoba (1991), Navra Mazha Navsacha (2004) and Amhi Satpute (2008). They also appeard in the dance realit show Nach Baliye season 1 and emerged as the winner of the show.
