New Delhi: Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal Friday assured people that the government has made all the preparations for any eventuality and there is nothing to worry about.
As many as 7,986 beds are available for Covid pateints in Delhi hospitals, informed the AAP government while claiming to have stock of sufficient oxygen cylinders.
CM Kejriwal mentioned about the XBB 1.16 variant of Covid, saying it is the predominant one at present, accouting to 48 per cent of all positive cases.

“It spreads rapidly but is not severe,” he said. It should be noted that the variant is infecting those who are fully vaccinated already.
Informing that Delhi reprted 295 cases on March 30 and three deaths linked to comorbidities, CM Kejriwal said the government is conducting mock drills to check the preparedness of the medical staff.

He added that all the cases are being sent for the genome sequencing, in case if new variant comes up. He added that teh government has given directions to all Delh hospitals to maintain isolation wards for Covid patients.
The Delhi Chief Minister addressed a press conference after holding a review meeting with top government officials.
