New Delhi: An app named “Digi Yatra App” allows the passenger to check in digitally and will reduce waiting time at the airport.

This is a game-changing app that will help passengers avoid long queues at the airport, and they can check in hassle-free and efficiently within no time. On December 1, 2022, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will launch this app.

The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata is one of the most recent airports to adopt this app. The airport authorities have recognised the benefits of the DigiYatra App and how it can significantly reduce the time spent on ticket verification, making boarding much easier for passengers.

Passengers must download the app on their smartphones or iPhones, enter their mobile number and Aadhaar information, and upload a selfie to use it. Once all of the details about the journey and the passenger have been submitted, the boarding pass can be updated, and the digital boarding pass can be shared with the airport.

Procedure to use the app

Passengers can quickly scan their boarding pass on the DigiYatra e-Gate and then scan their faces by holding it up to the camera. The system then verifies the data and opens the e-gate, allowing passengers to board their flight without using paper.
