During this, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj also visited the Covid ward, OPD and Pediatric Ward at LNJP Hospital. Along with meeting the patients undergoing treatment here, inquired about their health and also asked questions regarding the arrangements of the hospital.

Took stock of other aspects including the availability of beds, medical staff, the capacity of investigation, medical equipment and medical oxygen availability in the hospital. The Health Minister instructed the staff that the hospital administration should ensure that the people coming for treatment get quality treatment. Also, keeping in view the seriousness of the disease of the patients, treatment should be given on a priority basis.

People suffering from low immunity and chronic illness should avoid going to crowded places.

During the inspection regarding the preparations for Corona, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that LNJP is one of the big hospitals in Delhi, where a large number of patients come for their treatment.

During the inspection of the hospital, it was seen how many covid beds are available in the hospital, and how many are authorized. What are the arrangements for the availability of oxygen in the hospital? During the inspection, the hospital administration informed that the availability of oxygen in the previous wave of Corona was 5 tonnes, now it has been increased 10 times to 50 tonnes. Out of which only 4 tonnes of oxygen is being used now. At present, both oxygen and covid beds are available in sufficient numbers.

No emergency or dangerous situation is known right now. He said that the current variant of Corona is not said to be very dangerous. At this time, those who have a cough, cold or fever, must wear masks. So that this infection does not spread further. If a person has complaints of chronic illness, low immunity, or comorbid conditions, then such people should avoid going to crowded places. Try to make him stay at home. Also, use the mask and take precautions.

He said that all facilities of beds, oxygen in the ICU, and ventilators are available in LNJP Hospital. To prevent corona, a 450-bed isolation ward has been set up in the hospital. There is a separate isolation ward for those who are stable patients. At present, most of the patients admitted are recovering. The cases of death from Corona are negligible. Death is happening only in those cases, of patients whose diabetes has increased or who are on dialysis.

Instructions to the hospital administration to maintain its preparations regarding Corona with full promptness

Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the condition of the corona is being monitored daily by the Health Department. To deal with Corona, the Kejriwal government is keeping a close watch on every situation. The hospital administration has been instructed to maintain its preparations with full promptness. However, the number of patients admitted to the hospital due to corona is very less, so there is no need to panic.

Rather it is necessary to be alert and responsible. People visiting hospitals must also wear masks inside the hospital. The Kejriwal government is fully prepared to deal with any emergency.

The Health Minister inquired about the reality of the claims being made by the hospital management regarding the arrangements.
