CM Yogi’s Brother: Subedar Shailendra Bisht, younger brother of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, was promoted to the post of Subedar Major in the army a few months ago. Subedar Major is the highest non-commissioned officer rank in the Garhwal Regiment. Currently, He is posted at Garhwal Rifles Regimental Center Lansdowne. Earlier, he was in service in Mana near the China border in Uttarakhand.
The Garhwal Scout Unit of the Indian Army recruits local individuals as soldiers to guard the international borders within hill areas.
It has been reported several times by one or other media houses that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s family lives a simple life. Yogi Adityanath’s father Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger and his mother Savitri Devi was a housewife. Yogi Adityanath is the second among four brothers and three sisters.
One of his sisters, Shashi Payal, runs a tea snack shop near Mata Bhuvaneshwari Devi Temple in Pauri Garhwal.
UP CM rarely meets his family. Yogi Adityanath was born on 5 June 1972 in Panchur, a small village in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Yogi Adityanath came to Gorakhpur in 1993.
