Mann Ki Baat 100th Episode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the 100th episode of his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. During this, he said, “I have received thousands of letters from all of you, lakhs of messages and I have tried to read as many letters as possible, see them and try to understand the messages a little.”

PM Modi said, “Many times while reading your letters, I got emotional, got filled with emotions, got carried away with emotions and also took care of myself. You have congratulated me on the 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, but I sincerely say that you are all listeners of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, our countrymen, who deserve congratulations. Mann ki Baat is the mind of crores of Indians, expression of their feelings.”

PM Modi said, “October 3, 2014, was the festival of Vijaya Dashami and together we all started the journey of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on the day of Vijaya Dashami. Vijaya Dashami i.e., the festival of victory of good over evil, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has also become a unique festival of positivity of the goodness of the countrymen. One such festival, which comes every month, for which we all wait.”

PM Modi said, “The topic related to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ became a mass movement and you people made it a mass movement. When I shared ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the then US President Barack Obama, it was discussed all over the world. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has been like worshipping the qualities of others for me.”

Narendra Modi said that sometimes it is hard to believe that so many months and so many years have passed since ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Every episode was special in itself. Newness of new examples every time, expansion of new successes of the countrymen every time.

Save girl child, educate girl child campaign 

PM Modi said that he started the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign from Haryana itself. The ‘Selfie With Daughter’ campaign impressed me a lot and I mentioned it in my episode. Soon this ‘selfie with daughter’ campaign went global. The purpose of this campaign was to make people understand the importance of a daughter in life. He said that the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign has improved the sex ratio in Haryana.

PM Modi said whether it is about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao or Swachh Andolan, whether it is love for Khadi or nature, whether it is Amrit Mahotsav of Independence or Amrit Sarovar. The subject related to Mann Ki Baat became a mass movement and the people of the country made it.

‘Glad that storis of women empowerment included in Mann Ki Baat’: PM Modi

PM Modi said, “I am happy that various stories of women empowerment have been included in Mann Ki Baat, such as the women of Deora village in Chhattisgarh, the tribal women who made terracotta cups in Tamil Nadu, and the women who rejuvenated Vellore Lake.”

PM Modi said Mann Ki Baat has showcased stories of talented individuals in diverse fields from promoting Atmanirbhar Bharat to Make in India and space startups. The mission to re-establish our toy industry began with Mann Ki Baat.

PM Modi said that Vijayashanti of Manipur makes clothes from lotus fibres. Her unique eco-friendly idea was discussed in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and his work became more popular.

‘Felt different after coming to Delhi in 2014’: PM Modi

PM Modi said, “When I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, it was natural to meet the common people there. Such is the work and tenure of the Chief Minister, there are many opportunities to meet. But after coming to Delhi in 2014, I found that life here is very different. The nature of work is different, the responsibility is different, the conditions are different, the frills of security and the limit of time. In the initial days, I used to feel different, I used to feel empty.”

“Fifty years ago, I did not leave my home because one day it would be difficult to contact the people of my own country. The countrymen who are my everything, I could not live separated from them. Mann Ki Baat gave me a solution to this challenge, a way to connect with the common man. The office and protocol remained confined to the system and public sentiment, along with crores of people, became an inseparable part of the world.”

‘Many mass movements born through Mann Ki Baat’: PM Modi

In the program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We have discussed many examples of ‘Make in India’ to ‘Space Startup’ in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. There has been another specialty of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Don’t know through this many mass movements have taken birth and gained momentum like our toys. The mission to re-establish our toy industry also started with Mann Ki Baat. Raising awareness about the swan of our country also started.”

PM Modi said that today tourism is increasing very fast in the country. Be it our natural resources, rivers, mountains, ponds or pilgrimage sites, it is very important to keep them clean. This will help the tourism industry a lot.

“Along with cleanliness in tourism, we have also discussed the Incredible India movement many times. Due to this movement, for the first time, people came to know about many such places which were only around them.”

He said that whether it is about education or culture, its preservation or promotion, this has been an ancient tradition of India. The work that the country is doing in this direction today is really commendable. Be it NEP or the option of studying in regional language, technology integration in education, you will see many such efforts.

The Prime Minister said, “I have unwavering faith that the biggest change can be brought about by collective effort. This year, where we are moving forward in the golden age of independence, we are also presiding over the G20. This is also one of the reasons why along with education, our resolve has become stronger to enrich the diverse global culture.”
