According to a statement provided by the chief minister’s office, Chief Minister Stalin said that people who spread rumours were operating against the country and its integrity. “Tamil Nadu Government and People would always stand with our migrant brothers,” Stalin assured Bihar Chief Minister, according to the release.
“I called the honourable chief minister and my brother Nitish Kumar and informed them that all of the workers are our workers and that they are contributing to the development of Tamil Nadu. As a result, I can guarantee them that none of these difficulties would affect them “Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister stated.
Stalin has warned that people who purposefully propagate misinformation on social media by sharing films and photographs, causing fear and terror, will face severe legal consequences.
“Some people playing politics in this despicable manner on social media is highly condemnable,” the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu stated.
“Some people who can’t wait to destabilise this peaceful situation with the objective of demeaning the culture of the Tamil people and giving the government a bad name,” Stalin remarked.
He did, however, remark that “Workers from various states are aware that the situation here is normal. That is the reason. Workers from other states are still coming to Tamil Nadu.”
Stalin was quoted in the press release as adding, “Migrant workers need not be concerned. If there is a threat, you can contact the police department’s helpline numbers, which have been announced by the police.”
According to the prime minister, journalists and social networking site users must grasp their responsibilities, do fact-checking before publishing, and follow journalistic ethics.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Bihar announced earlier today that a team of officials will travel to Tamil Nadu to investigate complaints of alleged attacks on Bihar labourers.
The topic sparked fierce debate in the Bihar assembly. Tamil Nadu Police has explained that the recordings are “baseless,” according to Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
