Lookout circular issued against Charanjit Singh Channi

New Delhi: A lookout notice has been issued against former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi. The Vigilance Bureau circulated a lookout circular against Channi at all Airports. Now Charanjit Singh Channi will not be able to travel abroad.

Bhagwant Maan challenged Channi

Charanjit Singh Channi was about to travel to America but after Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann challenged him not to run away abroad as there were corruption charges against him, Channi cancelled the trip. 

Notice was issued three days ago

According to reports in the media, the lookout notice against the former Punjab CM was issued three days ago.

According to Bhagwant Mann, Charanjit Singh Channi is accused of misusing government money.

He is made accused of grabbing money in the inauguration of the theme park through tourism officials and alleged irregularities in issuing a tender. 

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had questioned him last year in connection with the illegal sand mining case that involved Channi’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey and others.
