New Delhi: India ace shuttler HS Prannoy has attained no. 1 position in the BWF World Tour ranking after the brilliant performance in this year.

Celebrating the performance of the star player, SAI Media wrote on Twitter, “This is just a trailer, picture abhi baaki hai Well deserved @PRANNOYHSPRI, keep going! @himantabiswa @sanjay091968 #BWFWorldTour #IndiaontheRise #Badminton.”

It makes you feel better – HS Prannoy

Being No.1 on the BWF Tour in September itself makes you feel better for sure,” said HS Prannoy after the latest ranking.

“Yes, this is not the World No.1 ranking for sure. A lot of things are bound to change on that front soon once the 2019 rankings which were frozen are opened up,” the 30-year-old Prannoy  in conversation with media organisation The Hindu.

“The next couple of months are equally important as these things might go up and down. I am determined to be as consistent as possible. The fact that I have been reaching quarterfinals consistently in most of the events does show that I am really playing well. It is only a question of time before I keep knocking on the door, open it and win a final too.”

“Yes, winning the Thomas Cup early this year is the defining moment not just for me but for Indian badminton itself. That victory gave so much confidence to every one of my teammates too,” he added.
