New Delhi: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has admitted that it is difficult for them to qualify for the semi-finals.
Pakistan lost Zimbabwe by 1 run in T20 World Cup fixture and it is marked as one of the shocking incident so far in the tournament. The loss of Pakistan was unexpected and it has pushed them away from semi-finals.

After the match, Azam was reported saying, that they may not be able qualify for semi-finals after second consecutive loss. To be honest, it’s hard (to qualify now), but we have two days, and we’ll have a sit together and discuss,” Azam.
“We will come back stronger. To be honest, we were not up to the mark, starting with the first six overs in the bowling, but later on we finished well.
“But in the batting time, we had our collapse. The batting was not up to the mark. When me and (Mohammad) Rizwan were out, Shan (Masood) and Shadab (Khan) built a partnership, but after that collapse we did not finish well,” he concluded.
Shoaib Akhtar lashed out on Babar Azam
Former Pakistan great Shoaib Akhtar has also shared his comment on the matter and called Azam a bad captain.
While talking on his youtube channel, Akhtar said, “I don’t know why is it so hard for you guys to understand. I have said this before, and I am saying it again that with our top and middle-order, we can achieve big success. We can’t win consistently. Pakistan have a bad captain. Pakistan are out of the World Cup. Nawaz has bowled the last over in the three games we have lost.”
