Dubai: India has lost their game against Sri Lanka and thus, missed on the direct chance to reach to the further stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.

However, there is still a way that keeps the chances for the Men in Blue alive to play the finals of the tournament.

The game of Points Table in Asia Cup 2022

According to the updated points table for the Asia Cup 2022, Sri Lanka have reached the top after winning two Super 4 matches. The hosts have 4 points and a net run rate of 0.351. On the other hand, Pakistan are in second place after winning a match with two points and a net run rate of 0.126.

India have moved up to third place after losing two matches. He has a net run rate of -0.126. While fourth-ranked Afghanistan has a net run rate of -0.589.

The equation of lose and win

Now, India need to win against Afghanistan by a huge margin. At the same time, they would need Afghanistan to defeat Pakistan by big margin. This, India can climb up the points table and reserve their chances of reaching the next stage.

Along with that, Sri Lanka needs to defeat Pakistan on September by a considerable margin and that will open doors for India to play on their odds of reaching final.
