Delhi is colder than Shimla! temperature dropped to 1.8 degree Celsius!

According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is seen forming near Afghanistan, due to which heavy snowfall as well as rain is expected at different places in the Western Himalayan region between January 7 and 9. Along with this, there are chances of light rains from Madhya Pradesh to Maharashtra. That means the cold is going to increase further.

On the other hand, the situation in Delhi NCR is very bad. Delhi has become even colder than Shimla. According to the information, today was the coldest day of this season in Delhi. The minimum temperature in Delhi has dropped below 2 degree Celsius. Delhi’s Aya Nagar has recorded a temperature of 1.8 degree Celsius, which is the lowest temperature recorded in the capital Delhi in the month of January in the last two years. Earlier on Thursday, a temperature below 3 degrees was recorded in Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for cold wave in Delhi-NCR for today and tomorrow.

According to the latest forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe cold wave in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. Due to the cold winds blowing in the plains, severe cold conditions will continue in many states, as well as the mercury may drop further. That is, the condition of cold wave will continue in different parts of the plains of the country.

In the midst of melting cold wave, mist and fog have also put people in trouble. Visibility reached zero in many places even today due to fog. Due to which traffic along with the life of common people is getting affected a lot. Traffic has been hit the most due to the fog. There is a brake on the speed. Fog is also affecting long distance trains. Trains are also getting delayed and many trains are getting canceled every day. Due to this, the passengers are facing huge problems.

At the same time, due to low visibility, many flights from Delhi airport are taking off late. According to information, today around 35 flights will take off late. Along with this, 8 international flights are delayed and 6 have delayed arrival and 15 domestic flights are late and 6 have delayed arrival.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions may continue in parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar. On the other hand, there is a possibility of dense fog in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North-West Rajasthan and parts of West Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, light rain is possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha, Southeast Madhya Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
