New Delhi: Amid Congress’s nation-wide protest, party’s youth wing leader Srinivas BV was seen being mishandled by the police. BV was protesting as a part of “Satyagraha” called by the Congress’ top brass against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summon to party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi.

A video from the incident shows that a police personnel pulls hair of president of the Indian Youth Congress, Sirnivas BV. Earlier in the video, the police was seen dragging Srinivas as they try to make him sit in the car.

The youth wing president along with Congress supporters in a huge number were trying to gather outside All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters.

Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with party’s top officials including Ranjeet Ranjan, KC Venugopal, Manickam Tagore, Imran Pratapgarhi, K Suresh and others were were taken to the custody for their protest.

The Congress’ members were demonstrating against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for summoning party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

The march started from Gandhi Statue in the Parliament premises towards Vijay Chowk where former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was also present. This comes after the party were denied permission to hold protest at Raj Ghat in Delhi today.

Congress leader Maken addressed a press conference Tuesday morning. He asserted that the party wanted to demonstrate in front of memorial of Mahatama Gandhi as it is a “symbolic place.”
