New Delhi: A representative of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor collected the nomination papers for the party’s presidential election from the party’s central election authority chairman Madhusudan Mistry on Saturday.
The notification for the election of Congress President was issued on 22nd September and the process of filing nominations will run from 24th to 30th September.
In a request letter sent for his candidature, Tharoor has requested five sets of nomination papers for the election of Congress party president.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8.
In case of more than one candidate participating in the election, voting will be held on October 17 and results will be declared on October 19.
