During an address on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that with the first two phases of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections concluded, the BJP-NDA coalition is ahead 2-0 against the Opposition INDIA bloc.

At an election rally in Kolhapur, Prime Minister Modi referred to the city as the football hub of Maharashtra, highlighting the popularity of football among local youth. He likened the ongoing Lok Sabha elections to a football match, stating that following the completion of the second phase, the BJP-NDA is leading 2-0.

PM Modi remarked that the INDIA bloc has incurred two “self-goals” by engaging in “anti-nationalism” and promoting the “politics of hatred”.

Once again, the Prime Minister accused members of the INDIA bloc of engaging in anti-national and appeasement politics.

The Prime Minister asserted that the DMK, closely aligned with the Congress, is disparaging Sanatana Dharma by equating it with diseases like dengue and malaria. He expressed dismay that despite this, the INDI Alliance welcomes and honors those who advocate for the destruction of Sanatana Dharma, which he believed would have deeply saddened Bala Saheb (Thackeray).

He described the faction led by Uddhav Thackeray as a “fake Shiv Sena” for aligning closely with DMK members. He continued his critique of the INDIA bloc-Maha Vikas Aghadi, accusing them of being so focused on vote-bank politics that they have formed alliances with followers of Aurangzeb, the 17th-century Mughal emperor.

PM Modi criticized the Opposition parties for pledging to repeal the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) if they come to power. He also condemned them for their absence at the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22, despite being invited multiple times.
