On Friday, the police in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, captured Abhay Rathore, the fugitive executive engineer from Indore implicated in a scam worth over a hundred crores of rupees.
Since the police uncovered his involvement in the scam exceeding a hundred crore rupees, Rathore had been evading capture. His apprehension in Etah signaled the conclusion of his evasion.
With the assistance of a special team, the police successfully located Rathore, whom they had been searching for. His arrest represented a notable accomplishment for the police, who had issued a 25,000 rupee reward for his capture.
Authorities believe Rathore orchestrated the scam, which swindled the city out of a significant sum of money.

On May 9, the Bhopal city police carried out a late-night raid in Ashoka Garden, uncovering a massive sum of Rs 32 lakh in cash at a residence believed to belong to Kailash Khatri, a resident of Pant Nagar Colony. The cash, comprising numerous bundles of Rs 10 and Rs 20 notes, was discovered during the raid.
The police conducted this operation just three days prior to the final phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, scheduled for May 13 in the Indore-Malwa region.
