In a shocking turn of events, the Mumbai police are investigating a gruesome murder at a local spa in Worli, where the victim’s body was found with 22 cryptic tattoos. The police believe that these tattoos may hold the key to unraveling the mystery behind the murder.

According to sources, the victim, 52-year-old Guru Waghmare, was found dead at the spa premises. The police are working to identify the individuals named in the tattoos, in hopes of uncovering a motive for the murder.

The attackers have been recognized as Mohammad Firoz Ansari and Saqib Ansari. The former is an acquaintance of Santosh Sherekar, the spa owner where Guru had been killed. All of this had been planned three months before the actual murder. Ansari had kept an eye on Guru’s daily routine and was well aware of his whereabouts.

CCTV footage revealed that on July 21, after Guru’s birthday party at Sion Hotel, he along with his girlfriend went to ‘Soft Touch Spa’; the murder spot. Within 2 hours of them at the spa, two attackers who had been following Guru entered and, summoned his girlfriend in another room, and killed Guru with sharp scissor blades worth Rs 7,000.

Sources suggest that the tattoos may be more than random names. It has been revealed that the names may be linked to the murder as they are believed to be the names of the enemies of the deceased, with Sherekar’s name being one of them.

The post-mortem reports suggest that he had been killed at around 2:30 am. It has been unveiled that Sherekar is one of the people whose name has been inked on the deceased’s body. It has been alleged that Guru used to extort money out of Sherekar which is why he hired Ansari to kill Guru in exchange for Rs 6 Lacs.

A police officer says that Waghmare had been extorting money from spa owners in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar since 2010. Several charges of rape, harassment, and molestation were also filed against him.

As the investigation continues, the police are looking at all possible angles. After being questioned for an entire day, Sherekar has been arrested by the police. Firoz Ansari was too arrested by the Crime Branch, while Saqib Ansari; the other attacker, was detained along with two others while going from Kota in Rajasthan. Five arrests have been made so far.

Mumbai DCP Crime Branch Datta Nalawade speaks about this murder.

The mysterious case has sent shockwaves through the city, as the girlfriend of the deceased is also a suspect.
