Days after the BJP fielded actor Kangana Ranaut from Mandi, the Bollywood star on Wednesday said that she despises congress party as it supports nepotism. Ranaut specifically attacked Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi in her statement.

Addressing the Times Now Summit 2024 – India Unstoppable event, actor Ranaut stated that the congress has always been an appalling party for me due to their nepotism and dynast politics. “I don’t like congress because of the following reasons as I have always fought openly against the groupism, nepotism and dynastic politics.

Notably, the saffron party has facilitated actor Kangana from the Mandi constituency, Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 which are slated to take place on April 19.

“When asked to describe the Gandhi siblings in one line, the ‘Queen’ star bluntly referred to them as ‘nepo kids,’ adding that they seem ‘weird as if they have landed from Mars.'”

Kangana Ranaut, aged 37, asserted her open-hearted support for the BJP, stating, “Regardless of my party membership status, I have consistently advocated for the party’s cause, leaving no stone unturned. I have always felt that my natural alignment and ideology lie with a nationalistic government. I consider myself to have a proud right-wing personality,” emphasized the four-time National Award winner.

The Congress sparked controversy following derogatory remarks about the actor and her constituency posted on the social media accounts of its leaders Supriya Shrinate and H S Ahir.

In her defense, Shrinate stated on Monday that multiple individuals have access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts, and one of them made the inappropriate post. She assured that she had removed the post and intends to take action against a parody account misusing her name.

Expressing her dismay, the actor, who had publicly criticized Shrinate for the posts shared via her social media accounts, stated that she was deeply hurt by the opposition leader’s comments.

“This incident sets back the cause of women by many years. The content she posted is very alarming,” she added.

Ranaut further criticized Shrinate for hurting the sentiments of the people of Himachal Pradesh by comparing Mandi, known as a ‘devbhoomi’ (land of gods), to a mere market.
