A distressing incident unfolded in Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh, as a teenage Dalit boy fell victim to a brutal assault allegedly orchestrated by two individuals from his village under the Sujanganj police station. The unfortunate episode involved the boy being forced into drinking urine, subjected to physical assault, and forcibly had his eyebrows shaved.
Upon directives from Jaunpur SP Ajay Pal Sharma, the boy underwent a medical examination the following day to assess the extent of the ordeal. Additionally, an FIR was filed against the two accused men in connection with the incident.
The ongoing investigation, including medical tests, aims to determine the boy’s age and ascertain if he qualifies as a minor, according to police officials overseeing the case.
However, amidst these accusations, a counter-allegation emerged from the accused parties, accusing the boy of allegedly sexually harassing a girl from their family. An FIR was lodged against the boy under section 354 (outraging modesty) of the IPC in response to this claim.
The boy’s father revealed that the assailants urged him not to report the incident to the authorities. He also expressed frustration, stating that the Sujanganj police allegedly declined to document his complaint on the day of the incident, compelling him to approach Jaunpur SP the following day to escalate the matter.
This grim incident echoes a previous distressing occurrence from August, where two boys, aged 10 and 15, faced similar humiliating treatment after being accused of theft in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Reports indicated that they were allegedly coerced into consuming urine, had chilies rubbed on their private parts, and were subjected to unidentifiable injections.
The disturbing video of the incident went viral on social media, highlighting the heinous acts committed against the boys, including the forced consumption of chilies and urine, coupled with threats of physical harm if they refused to comply.
