Miscreants brutally beat and drag man on road, CCTV footage viral

New Delhi: A CCTV footage has emerged from the Samastipur district of Bihar. In the footage, a man can be seen being dragged and beaten on the street by some anti-social elements.

The video is now viral across various social media platforms. The incident is from the area between Kadam Ghat to Gopalpatti which lies under the Dalsinghsarai police station.

What happened?

At first glance, the incident is looking similar to atrocities thrown upon people under Taliban rule. In the footage, a man is half naked and is being dragged on road. A group of people accompany the men dragging him. The man is being brutally beaten and dragged simultaneously.

Victim is being treated in hospital

Seeing this, nearby people protested which led to the fleeing of the miscreants. Local people and some relatives of the youth admitted him in the sub-divisional hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment.

Who is the victim?

The youth has been identified as Ranjan Kumar, son of Pappu Kumar Sah, resident of Sanskrit Vidyalaya Road Ward No. 2 of Dalsinghsarai.

Regarding the incident, SHO Kumar Brajesh said that information about the matter has been received. The miscreants are being identified on the basis of CCTV footage. At the same time, the family members of the youth are being contacted. Further action will be taken on receipt of application.
