In this segment, Toyota also sold a vehicle named the Toyota Urban Cruiser. However, the sale of the SUV was abruptly halted. What was the reasoning for this? It is still unknown. However, Toyota debuted the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a mid-size SUV car.
The formerly available Toyota Urban Cruiser was a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Toyota rebadged the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and sold it as the Toyota Urban Cruiser as part of the Suzuki-Toyota cooperation.
Now, Toyota has no cars in the sub-4 metre small SUV segment now that its sales have been halted. According to rumours, Toyota intends to revive the Toyota Urban Cruiser under a new moniker.

Toyota’s new SUV: Toyota Raize
Toyota has now filed two new brand names in India – Raize and Raize Space. These names are claimed to be used for the rebadged version of the Maruti Brezza SUV.
Toyota is expected to release not just the 5-seater variant, but also the 7-seater model. As a result, the name Raize Space is also stated to be registered. The 7-seater variant may be referred to as the Raize Space.
Toyota Raize Specifications
The Toyota Raize is believed to be powered by the same 1.5-litre, K15C petrol engine seen in the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Its engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 101 PS and 136 Nm of torque. Together with this engine, 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions are available.

Toyota Raize CNG
Besides that, the Toyota Raize is anticipated to have a CNG option. The CNG variant’s engine can produce a maximum output of 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque when running on CNG. However, the CNG vehicle is planned to be available solely with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG type is said to have a mileage of roughly 26 km per kg. The Toyota Raize CNG is predicted to have the same mileage. If Toyota introduces a 7-seater vehicle, it may be called the Toyota Raize Space.

If the Toyota Raize is offered for sale in India, the expected starting ex-showroom price may approximately be Rs 9 lakh.

Toyota Raize: Rebadged Suzuki Fronx?
If Toyota does not use these two names for the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, it is possible that the name Raize will be used for the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which will go on sale in a few days.
According to information made public, Toyota will also market Suzuki Fronx under its own brand. It is notable that there is a possibility that this car will be named Raize.

Toyota Taisor: Rebadged Suzuki Fronx?
Toyota had previously registered the name Taisor in India. The moniker might also be applied to any Toyota variant of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza or Fronx. Toyota will make an official announcement about this very shortly.
If the Toyota version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza returns under a different name, particularly the Raize, there is a prospect of sales success as the term Urban Cruiser was a popular SUV. Toyota must also re-enter the fast-growing sub-4-meter compact SUV category.
