Til Chikki Recipe: Sesame is especially consumed on the day of Makar Sankranti i.e. kite flying festival. Things made of sesame are especially consumed on this day. In different states, there is a practice of eating different dishes on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On this day, khichdi is eaten in some places, things made from sesame (Til Recipe) and at some places curd and sawdust are consumed.

However, eating sesame on this day (Makar Sankranti 2023) has more importance. That’s why today we have brought Til Chikki recipe made from sesame seeds for you. It is delicious in taste and easy to make. 

Til Chikki Recipe: Ingredients

  • Sesame
  • Desi Ghee
  • Jaggery

Recipe: 

  • First of all, keep a pan on the gas. Now roast sesame seeds in it. Keep stirring continuously to roast it, or else it may burn. After this, put the sesame seeds on a plate after turning it slightly red.
  • After this, again keep the pan on the gas. First, put ghee in it, then add jaggery and melt it well. After melting it, add roasted sesame seeds and mix them well.
  • Now take a big plate. Spread ghee in it and apply it. Now take the mixture and roll it into a thin or thick layer using a rolling pin or rolling pin. Now cut it in the design according to your wish. After, that leave it to cool.
  • After cooling it will set completely. You can now taste this Til Chikki.

Let us tell you that Til Chikki is also known as Jaggery Til Chikki. Jaggery itself is sweet enough, so there is no need to add sugar. If you add sugar to it, then its taste can get spoiled.
