Wrestlers Protest: An FIR will be registered against Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the Solicitor General informed the Supreme Court on Friday.
Meanwhile, in a press conference, the wrestlers appealed to Prime Minister Narendra that Brij Bhushan Singh should be removed from all posts and sent to jail.
During the hearing, senior advocate Kapil Sibal, on behalf of the wrestlers, said in the court that security should be provided to women wrestlers and that a retired judge should supervise the case. On this plea, the court has ordered the Delhi Police to provide security. The court has also asked the police to file an affidavit detailing every step taken by them by next Friday.

For the past few days, many wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Sangeeta Phogat, are protesting at Jantar Mantar demanding the registration of a case against Brij Bhushan.
While holding a press conference after the SC hearing, the wrestlers made it clear that their strike will not end until Brijbhushan Sharan Singh goes to jail.
During the press conference, Vinesh Phogat said that we have full faith in the Supreme Court. Brij Bhushan Singh should be removed from all posts, he can misuse his posts. We do not trust any committee or committee member, We don’t even trust to Delhi Police as well. Phogat said that this fight was not just till the FIR. The fight is to get Brij Bhushan Singh punished.
