New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder Sharad Pawar and its national spokesperson Supriya Sule will skip the Opposition meeting today (on July 17) but attend the same on the second day i.e. July 18.
National spokesperson of NCP, Mahesh Tapase shared the information through a Twitter post that said, “Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule will participate in the Opposition meeting tomorrow, 18th July…”
Meanwhile in Maharashtra
In the latest of Maharashtra Politics, Ajit Pawar along with the NCP leaders who rebeled against the party founder Sharad Pawar met the latter yesterday at YB Chawan Centre in Mumbai.
These MLAs included Dilip Walse, Praful Patel, Aditi Tatkare and others. Post the meeting, Praful Patel said that the Ajit Pawar’s faction went to meet Sharad Pawar to ask for his blessings.
Following the rebellion and the merger with the Shinde-Fadnavis state government, the Ajit Pawar faction had proposed to keep the NCP united, informed Patel.
Opposition Meeting in Karnataka
Meanwhile, the Opposition parties across the nation is all set to begin their second joint-meeting today in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The meeting is being held to take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the Congress recieving support from over 24 parties.

Almost every major party in opposition in India, including CPI (M), Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and also Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will attend the Opposition meeting.
The incharge deputed for the meeting is Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister to look out for all the preparations for the meeting.
