Nepal PM visit to India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met with his Nepali counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda at Hyderabdad house in New Delhi. Enhancing cooperation in areas of connectivity, energy and trade will be the key focus of discussion between the Indian PM and Nepal PM. Prachanda visit marked his first bilateral trip aboard since assuming office December 2022.

Both the Prime ministers expressed their common desire to boost the overall ties between India and Nepal, with several agreements expected to be finalised following their talks. The bilateral discussion will cover the wide range of issues, including border issues, trade, coonectivity and transit, according to the media sources.

It is known that Nepal is deeply connected with India and holds startegic importance for India. Both the countries are deeply connected to each other with its common cultural values and historical relations.

The power sector area between India and Nepal will be significant area, building upon the joint vision of India-Nepal. Nepal has been exporting over 450MW electricity to India. highlighting the progress made in this sector.
The leaders will also review the India-Nepal development partnership, which plays a pivotal role in shaping bilateral relations. Boosting financial structure will also the key point of their meeting, building on the successful launch of the RuPay card in Nepal.
