New Delhi: Today marks the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was born on September 17, 1950. PM Modi was born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Heeraben Damodardas Modi in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi.

PM Modi is an influential leader who has been the Chief Minister of Gujarat for three terms became Prime Minister in 2014 for the first time. In 2019, PM Modi reurned to power in Centre with an overwhelming majority of votes.

To celebrate his birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a series of initiatives including activities such as blood drives, health screening sessions and hygiene initiatives. Under the banner ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’, the party is expected to organize a 16-day program spanning from September 17 to October 2.

This program aims to emphasize community service and expand support to disadvantaged populations. Activities planned during this period include blood donations, health checks, efforts to improve sanitation and tree planting initiatives.

1) PM Modi became a cadet in the RSS under the leadership of Lakshmanrao Inamdar at the age of eight. That is when his political journey started. His trainer Lakshmanrao Inamdar became his mentor later.
