A trader was fatally shot while sleeping in his SUV at a Dhaba parking lot in Haryana on Sunday morning by unidentified assailants. This incident occurred shortly after another incident where an INLD leader was also shot dead by unknown gunmen who ambushed his SUV.

The recent occurrence took place at Gulshan Dhaba in Murthal, Haryana, around 8:30 am. The victim, identified as Sunder Malik, aged 38, was a liquor trader hailing from Saragthal village in Gohana.
The CCTV footage reveals the trader, clad in an orange hoodie and trousers, staggering out of his SUV amidst the barrage of gunfire from two assailants. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, the trader grapples with one attacker, managing to bring him down momentarily, while the other shooter relentlessly fires bullets at him. Despite the trader’s struggle, the attackers overpower him, and one continues to shoot until the victim is incapacitated. The dhaba owner promptly alerted the authorities upon witnessing the harrowing scene.

According to the police, approximately 35 rounds were discharged during the incident. Eight investigative teams have been assembled and are actively pursuing the culprits.
Gaurav Rajpurohit, a police officer, stated, “Upon receiving a phone tip-off, the police arrived at the scene to discover that around 30 to 35 rounds had been fired.”
The investigating officer mentioned that the next steps would be determined following discussions with the victim’s family members.
Authorities have clarified that no confirmation regarding any gang warfare involvement has been established thus far.
On February 26, Nafe Singh Rathi, the Haryana unit president of the Indian National Lok Dal, was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen who ambushed his SUV in Jhajjar district.
