On June 8, after the family sent out an official invitation, their engagement became official. They exchanged rings on June 9. According to reports, the pair has been together for five years. All of the Allu and Mega family, who are cousins to Varun Tej, were present. Along with others, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Panja Vaissnav Tej, and Allu Aravind attended the engagement.
Varun Tej shared some happy pictures from his engagement with Lavanya and wrote, “Found my Lav! @itsmelavanya (sic).”
