Chhattisgarh- PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi definitely knows how to connect with people. There have been a dozen incidents that are testimony to this. During his recent campaign in Chhattisgarh, something such happened again that grabbed all the eyeballs.

While addressing the masses at his rally in Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, PM Modi saw a girl standing with a self-made portrait of him in her hands. Amid chants of Modi-Modi, this girl was standing for quite a time when the PM noticed her.

He then addressed her and said – Beti aap kabse ye photo lekar khadi ho. thak jaogi. Kya karna hai? Mujhe dena chahti ho? (Daughter, you’re standing here for long, you will be tired. What do you want to do? Do you wish to give it to me?)

The girl kept standing until she caught the attention of PM Modi. She wanted to gift him the portrait that she created. The PM then requested the police personnel to take it from her and give it to his SPG team. But before it could happen, he asked her to write her name and address on the back of the portrait so he could write a letter to her.

Now this is what is known as establishing a connection with the public. No technical method can beat it. PM writes a letter to a commoner girl, enough to depict how courteous he is, a strong message given to the people of India. The message that the Indian PM is not unreachable, he knows common people and connects with them. This sense of owning him as a part of democracy boosts his following among the nation’s people.
