Selfiee box office collection Day 7: Last year, Akshay Kumar struggled at the box office because none of his 2022 releases did well. Since Selfiee, the year’s first release, likewise underwhelmed at the box office, he began 2023 on the same note. With him in the lead is Emraan Hashmi in the February 24 film. At just Rs 3 crore, the movie had Akshay’s worst-ever opening weekend. 

However, its box office receipts keep declining. On March 2, the movie took in less than Rs 2 crore in India. Driving License, a Malayalam drama, was remade as Selfiee. It was a great success and starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the key parts.

Box Office Collection 

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi share the key roles in the movie. The movie premiered on February 24. It’s the actor’s first movie of the year. Trade predictions indicate that the movie is not performing well at the box office. Day 7, March 2, Selfiee saw a sharp decline, only brought in Rs 95 lakh. As a result, its total domestic box office revenue is currently Rs 14.67 crore. Selfiee, meanwhile, had a 9.69% overall Hindi occupancy on March 2.

About Selfiee

The film hit theatres on February 24. The film’s plot revolves around Bollywood superstar Vijay Kumar, who wants to obtain a new driver’s licence from an RTO officer. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding causes a battle of words between the two. It finally escalates into a feud in front of the entire country. The film is produced by Star Studios in collaboration with Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape Of Good Films.

Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta, and Listin Stephen produce. The film also stars Diana Penty and Nushratt Bharuccha in addition to Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. It is a remake of the Malayalam film Driving Licence, which was released in 2019 and starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
