Selfiee box office collection Day 5: Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, has failed to connect with audiences. The box office revenues for the film, which was released on February 24, continue to fall. Despite having two huge performers in lead roles, the film made less than Rs 2 crore in India on Tuesday.
Driving License is a remake of the Malayalam drama Selfiee. It was a great success, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Selfiee, on the other hand, is a different story.
Selfiee box office collection
Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi star in the key roles of Selfiee. On February 24, the picture was released in theatres. It is Akshay Kumar’s first film of the year. According to trade estimates, the film earned poorly at the box office during its first weekend in theatres. During its first weekend, the film only made Rs 10 crore. On February 28, Selfiee suffered a significant dip and earned Rs 1.3 crore. As a result, its total domestic box office collection will now be Rs 11.6 crore. Meanwhile, Selfiee had an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.39% on Tuesday, February 28.
Meanwhile, Box Office India reported, “There is no major new release this week but still the film will not be able to reach the 20 crore mark. It is a ridiculously low number for the film but shows that there is absolutely no hope today for films that do not look interesting and then on top have weak content even if with stars.”
