New Delhi: The trailer of Chakki is here. The film, directed by Satish Munda, has Umesh Shukla (Oh My God and 102 Not Out) as a presenter of the film. Chakki is a satirical take on the lethargic system framework of the electricity distribution department.
The film’s trailer, which stars Rahul Bhat and Priya Bapat, shows a common man’s average-cruising life hitting the iceberg when he receives an electricity bill of 1.6 lakhs.
The two-minute nineteen-second trailer takes us through the scenic captures of the city of Bhopal and Indore. It has a few emotional moments portraying a realistic struggling journey of a common man to stabilise his life from entropic corruption.
The highlight of Chakki is also the soulful music composed by one of the most popular music bands in the country, Indian Ocean, who have composed music for Masaan, Peepli Live & Satyagraha. The lyrics are penned by Piyush Mishra. Chakki marks the golden collaboration of Indian Ocean and Piyush Mishra after a hiatus of 15 years; they had worked together in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday.
“I am sure the audience will connect to my film as the issue was and is still relevant with the system machinery existing now”, Satish Munda expressed his belief in Chakki.
Whereas the leading man, played by Ugly fame, Rahul Bhat, expressed how the audience will instantly connect with his character and the soul of the film.
“I feel Vijay is not just me but every common citizen who has gone through the same Chakki; our audience will love the film.” said Rahul Bhat.
Not just the critics but the viewers are pouring their love across all social media platforms minutes after the trailer dropped online.
