West Bengal: On the occasion of Martyr’s Day, Trinamool’s Secretary and Mamata Banerjee’s MP nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, made a significant announcement from the public platform in Dharmatalla, Kolkata.

During his speech, Abhishek issued a directive to his party leaders and workers, instructing them to gather in large numbers and surround the houses of BJP leaders in 341 blocks of the state on August 5.

He further stated that from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day, only the elderly members living in the houses should be allowed to move outside, and no other family members should be permitted to leave or enter the premises.

Abhishek emphasized that his party workers should prepare a list of BJP workers or leaders residing in their respective block or booth areas. They should then use this list to surround the houses of these BJP leaders and workers without causing any harm on August 5.

Additionally, Abhishek called for a “Delhi Chalo” campaign to demand the outstanding amount of about One lakh 15 thousand crores under the 100-day employment scheme from the Central government. He urged his supporters to assert their rights by besieging the offices of authorities rather than pleading for them.

In response to Abhishek’s statement, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slightly modified the directive and clarified that the symbolic houses of BJP leaders will be surrounded, ordering a siege program to be maintained 100 meters away from their residences.

The BJP district secretary of Purulia district, Abdul Aleem Ansari, retaliated to Abhishek’s orders, asserting that BJP is not weak and will not allow Trinamool workers and leaders to surround the houses of BJP leaders and workers without resistance.

He urged Trinamool to refrain from violent politics and pursue peaceful means to maintain harmony and peace in the state.
