Reliance Jio 5G: The telecom operator on Saturday finally launched the new-age high-speed services in the country after the two of announcement. Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani and Shloka Ambani offered prayers  at the famous Shrinathji temple in Rajsamand before the launch of 5G service from Rajasthan. Akash Ambani launched the services in Rajasthan from the famous Shrinathji temple in Rajsamand. Reliance plans to roll out 5G services this year in significant cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.

By December 2023, the telecom provider plans to extend its 5G network to every town, tehsil, and taluka in the nation, according to Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, who made the announcement on August 29 to mark the debut of 5G in India.

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, handed the reins to his eldest son Akash Ambani earlier this year by resigning from the Reliance Jio board.

Jio will roll out standalone 5G, the most recent iteration of 5G. An estimated Rs 2 lakh crore would be spent on 5G infrastructure.

Jio, which was introduced six years ago, set numerous global records when it rolled out the largest 4G network in the quickest amount of time. Over 400 million devoted and happy consumers receive the greatest quality, most inexpensive digital services from Jio’s 4G network. With its 5G services, Jio is anticipated to now set the bar even higher.

Reliance Jio Infocomm purchased spectrum in the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3300MHz, and 26GHz bands in the Department of Telecommunications’ recently ended 5G auctions, where the government received offers totaling almost Rs 1.5 lakh. The four main players in the spectrum auction were Reliance Jio, Adani Group, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea.

After the spectrum auction, the government asked telecom service providers to get ready for the launch of 5G services by sending them letters allocating certain frequencies in the middle of August.

The Department of Telecom and the Ministry of Information Technology have been pressuring mobile phone manufacturers and telecom operators to update the software in the devices with regard to 5G and to put in place the necessary infrastructure for a faster rollout of the new-age telecom services.

What is 5G:

The fifth generation of mobile networks is able to send massive amounts of data at extremely fast rates.

5G has an extremely low latency compared to 3G and 4G, which will improve user experiences across a variety of industries. Low latency is a term used to indicate how quickly a large amount of data packets may be processed.

Additional advancement is anticipated in remote data monitoring industries including mining, warehousing, telemedicine, and manufacturing, among others, as a result of the widespread 5G rollout.
