News24 Raises Bar In BARC, Sees Surge In Election Coverage

The BARC report of three weeks in March-April proves yet again that true journalism is what viewers want to see and enjoy. No glam-sham works if journalism lacks commitment. News24 has seen a huge leap for its election coverage.

Your favourite channel News24 has seen a spike once again, and obviously for all good reasons. The last three weeks’ reports of BARC India are a testimony to the reliability of the channel which knows how to keep up with journalism. The trust of viewers has continuously increased in News24 because of the way it covers all the elections-related programmes.

According to data received from BARC, the three-week growth rate of News24 increased by 57 percent. If we study it week-by-week, the growth of the TV channel has increased by 19 percent in the 14th week, 21 percent in the 15th week, and 17 percent in the 16th week. This is the highest among all the channels across the country particularly in these three weeks. Along with this, the GRP was increased to 4 in the 14th week, to 5 in the 15th week, and 6 in the 16th week. These figures are for the three weeks between March 30 and April 19.

This leap in figures reflects the trust of viewers in News24 and is continuously increasing. Bagging these numbers in the middle of the biggest polls in India shows how viewers prefer to watch election coverage on the News24 channel.

In the sixteenth week, when many TV channels saw a plunge in their viewership, News24 fetched a rocketing growth of 17 percent. The channel which has always put commitment and trust to the fore, is the favourite of viewers for its election coverage. News24, which stands for maintaining the core of the fourth pillar of democracy, has all trust of the viewers for they know, authenticity is its second name.
