New Delhi: Volkswagen has updated its Tigon for the Indian market. Which has been equipped with ADAS feature as a special feature. The updated Tygon has been given the parking assist feature, which is an ADAS level one feature. With the help of this feature, parking can be done easily even in tight spaces.
Engine
Volkswagen offers the 20 TSI turbo petrol engine in this car, which has been updated as per the new RDE norms. The engine of this car is now capable of giving 7 percent more mileage than before. That is, now the mileage of this car can be taken up to 13.54 kilometers per liter. The Taigan SUV is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Apart from this, this car is equipped with all-wheel drive technology.
Safety features
Talking about the safety features found in the updated Volkswagen, this car gets rear seat belt reminder with new feature, safety technology and assistant system like 6 airbags, anti lock braking system, ECS, anti slip regulation, hill start assist, hill descent. Controls are engine drag torque control active TPMS, rear three head rests, three point seat belts, isofix and driver alert system.
Price
The updated Tygon can now be bought for Rs.34.69 lakhs. This 5 seater SUV car of Volkswagen is sold in India as the flagship car of the company. The German carmaker earlier also sold its 7-seater Tigon Allspace.
The new Tigon has entered the premium SUV segment, which competes with the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq, as well as the Volvo XC40, BMW X1.
Volkswagen recently revealed the updated vehicles of its Tigon and Verts. While with the update of this car, the company has completed the update of all the vehicles of this lineup in India. Also, with this update, the Tiguan has become the fastest SUV in its segment in India. Which is more powerful than the entry level luxury SUV.
