Jeeyand Baloch, spokesperson for the BLA, stated, “We claim responsibility for the blast at Quetta Railway Station.” According to Baloch, the attack targeted a unit of Pakistani military personnel who were boarding the Jaffer Express after completing a training course at the Infantry School. He further revealed that the attack was carried out by the BLA’s Majeed Brigade, a suicide unit involved in high-profile operations.
