The Pakistani TikTok star Minahil Malik again recently became the centre of attention on social media for a dance video posted in August. In the clip, Malik showcases her dance energetically to Megan Thee Stallion’s “Mamushi” wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and sunglasses. The video features the caption ‘Because it’s trending’; and has garnered more than 4.1 million views.

Searches for her video have spiked and many users from Indian states such as Bihar, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Haryana are searching terms like “Pakistani TikTok Viral Video” and “HD video.”

Malik was earlier in the limelight in October when a leaked video of her and her boyfriend went viral. Reactions varied, with some speculating it was a publicity stunt while others offered consolation, stating they were sorry for her personal space being invaded.
Following the viral leak, Pakistani actress Mishi Khan indirectly targeted Malik alleging that influencers are now “stooping to the lowest level” for fame.
In a video, Khan categorically denounced the promotion of the lewd material and equated it to a scene from the movie ‘Heroine’, where a character intentionally leaked a private video to the internet in a bid to gain popularity. Khan’s post called for a social media ban on ‘shameless influencers’ who bring “disgrace” to families and society.
