FIFA World Cup 2022: Another journalist has died during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The journalist has been identified as Khalid al-Misslam, a photojournalist from Qatar. This comes three days after the death of an American reporter, who wore a rainbow T-shirt in support of the LGBTQ community.

According to media reports, Khalid al-Misslam passed away on Sunday. Qatari authorities have not released an official cause of death for the photojournalist. The news about Al-Misslam was posted on Twitter by the Gulf Times, which said that he died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

American journalist also died 3 days ago

Three days ago, American journalist Grant Wahl also died suddenly. Wahl, 48, collapsed while covering the quarter-final match between Argentina and the Netherlands at the iconic Lusail Stadium on Friday.

Wahl’s brother Eric alleged that the Qatari government may have been involved in the death of the former Sports Illustrated journalist. He was briefly detained in Qatar for wearing a rainbow shirt in support of the LGBTQ community. During that time Wahl had said that his phone was snatched when he tweeted about the incident.
