New Delhi: Ahead of 3rd One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand, star cricketers of team India visited the Ujjain’s famous Mahakaleswar temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain to offer prayers on Monday morning.
“We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them,” said Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav along with Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sunder reached Mahakal temple to perform Baba Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti and prayed for the speedy recovery of Indian batter Rishabh Pant who had recently met with an accident near Roorkee in Haridwar district.

The players and supporting staff performed Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti on the early hour of the morning at the temple. The players wore traditional attire – dhoti and angavastram – while posing with the staff of the Indian cricket team.

India will eye on whitewashing
The men in blue will be eyeing on their second 0DI series whitewash of 2023 as they will face off blackcaps at Holkar Stadium in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. India had already defeated Sri Lanka in ODI and T20i series, they will be looking to repeat it against kiwi in ODI and T20. India will take guard against Australia in the four-match Test series, starting in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on February 9.
