The teacher was dating students
According to authorities in Nebraska, US, 25-year-old Cali Heikes has been arrested. It is alleged that she used to take a 17-year-old student from home to the cemetery three times a week. where the two used to have sex. On January 12, two vehicles were first seen leaving the area around Winside Cemetery.
The officer reportedly stopped one of the cars which was being driven by the male student. The student’s family told the authorities that he used to ask them how they would feel if he was dating a 25-year-old girl.
Punishment can be up to 20 years
The age of consensual sex in Nebraska is 16. But sex between a teacher and a student is always illegal. It is considered a crime there. Heikes could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
