New Delhi: A restaurant menu card of 2001 is going viral on social media and taking 90s kids on a nostalgic ride – the days when food used to be cheap and pocket friendly. However, since the 1990s generation has experienced so many changes, folks from that era may relate to this with ease. They have experienced everything, from basic Nokia phones to iPhones, and from CRT screens to smart TVs.

You’ll be shocked by the menu item prices after seeing them shared on Instagram. In comparison to the present rates, the rates are six to seven times less expensive. Mutton biryani costs Rs 32, compared to just Rs 30 for Chicken biryani. It cost only Rs. 24 to get paneer butter masala.

An old Pakistan-to-India ticket that had been issued at the time of Independence had previously gone viral on social media. For nine persons, the ticket’s price at the time was only Rs 36 and 9 annas. It was purchased on September 17, 1947. A red marker pen was used to manually create the stamp. The fact that it is for the AC-3 coach was also mentioned.

Netizens reactions

A user wrote, “Haan bhai aj Kal ke restaurants mai check kar tai hai ke sabse lowest prices konsa hai aur is menu mai check kar ra hu ke sabse highest price konsa hai”, another user wrote, “Ye the achee din” while replying to this third user wrote, “Us time period ke hisaab ye jayada h dosto”, fourth user comment, “Nothing changed, just added a 0 to all the rates”.
